Ohrid Summer has announced the programme of its 67th edition, which will take place from 12 July to 20 August 2027 under the motto 'Horizons'. The programme comprises seventeen festival evenings on six stages — from the Antique Theatre and the Church of St. Sophia to the terrace of Dolni Saraj and the meadow at Plaoshnik.
Opening with the Ninth
The festival opens with Beethoven's Ninth Symphony performed by the Ohrid Festival Orchestra under Luca Ferraresi. At the heart of the opera programme is Verdi's La traviata with soprano Marie-Claire Dubois, and the festival closes with Mozart's Requiem.
New productions
The theatre programme is led by a new staging of Euripides' Medea directed by Teodor Ilievski, created for the Antique Theatre. Lychnidos Ballet will present the world premiere of 'Lake of Light'.
Tickets are already on sale on the website and at the festival box office.
