Frequently asked questions
Tickets, reservations, payment, venues, refunds and accessibility — the answers in one place.
Tickets
How do I buy tickets?
Choose an event from the Programme, click 'Buy tickets', select ticket categories and quantity, then pick seats on the seating plan and pay. An account is required so that your tickets are available under 'My tickets'.
What discounts are available?
Students −30%, visitors over 65 −20%, children under 14 −50%. A valid document is shown at the entrance. Companions of people with disabilities enter free.
Do I need to print my ticket?
No. Simply show the digital ticket with its QR code from 'My tickets' on your phone. If you prefer, the ticket can be printed or saved as a PDF.
Reservations
How long are my selected seats held?
Once you select seats they are held for you for 15 minutes while you complete payment. After that they automatically become available again.
Can I reserve and pay at the box office?
Yes. Choose 'Cash / box office' at checkout. The reservation is valid for 72 hours; if it is not paid by then, the seats are released.
Payment
Which payment methods are accepted?
Visa, Mastercard and Maestro, bank transfer, and cash at the box office. This is a university demo project: card payment is simulated and no real transaction takes place.
Are my card details stored?
No. Only the card brand and the last four digits are kept so you can recognise the order. The card number and CVC are never stored.
Venues
What happens if it rains at an open-air event?
Concerts in the St. Sophia Atrium move into the church. For the Antique Theatre, Dolni Saraj and Plaoshnik, a decision is published on the website no later than two hours before the start.
When do the doors open?
Usually 45 minutes before the start, and 60 minutes for the Antique Theatre. Once a performance has begun, latecomers are admitted only at the interval.
Refunds and changes
Can I return a ticket?
Purchased tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled or significantly changed. In that case the money is refunded automatically to the same card within 14 days.
What if an event is cancelled due to weather?
If an event is cancelled before it starts, you receive a full refund or an exchange for another event. If it is stopped after more than half of its duration, it is considered to have taken place.
Accessibility
Are the venues wheelchair accessible?
All venues have wheelchair spaces. Each venue page lists detailed access information. We recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance.
Are there services for visitors with hearing or visual impairments?
The Cultural Centre has an induction loop, foreign-language performances have surtitles, and audio description is offered for selected shows. This website is designed to work with screen readers.
Programme
Can the programme change?
The festival reserves the right to change the programme or performers. All changes are published in News and on the event page, and ticket holders are notified by email.
About the festival
When and where does Ohrid Summer take place?
The festival runs every summer from 12 July to 20 August in Ohrid, on stages in the Old Town — the Antique Theatre, St. Sophia, Dolni Saraj, Plaoshnik — and at the Grigor Prlichev Cultural Centre.
Is this the official festival website?
No. This is a student project for the Business Practice course. The historical facts about the festival are accurate, but the programme, performers, team and ticket sales are fictional demo data.
